Louth likely to see some weekend snow as temperatures plunge again
One of Lincolnshire County Council's gritting team.
Louth could be in line for a return of the white stuff this weekend with temperatures looking likely to plummet.
According to the Met Office, hilly areas could in line for a small flurry of snow on Saturday but it appears likely to be more widespread on Sunday.
The mercury will fall as low at -5°C overnight on Saturday night but by midday Monday will be back up to around 3°C before falling below zero again on Tuesday with the possibility of more snow.
The cold snap saw widespread snow in mid-January before the rapid melt and heavy rain saw water levels in Louth reach their highest levels since 2007.
