Louth Old Boys recently hosted their biggest tournament yet with 185 teams from teams ranging from Under 7’s through to Senior teams.

Over 130 hours worth of football was played over this one weekend alone.

The annual five a side tournament was opened this year by the Mayor of Louth, Coun Leonard who started the event by blowing the whistle for the first games and once again the tournament was a big success and was enjoyed by all.

The club is proud to be able to deliver an event as big as this in Louth which involves and benefits so many children in the local community.

It has been a busy year for the club who have achieved and been awarded the FA Community Standard Club Status which puts them in the top 10 per cent in the UK.

The club has also become a Hub Club for junior girls football in the area as well as having a women’s team.

Louth Old Boys would like to thank all of the teams who took part and all those involved in the tournament.

They have already started organising next year event with the hope of exceeding 200 teams.

If you would like more information regarding the club or would like to play, coach or help manage a team within the club check out the clubs Facebook page: Louth Old Boys FC.
