Budding young artists from Lacey Gardens Primary School in Louth have put paint to paper to celebrate their hero.

The 2012 Big Draw saw 250 students celebrate the work of artist Paul Klee, with this year’s theme seeing them recreate his own famous works.

The project is now in its fifth successful year and is part of the National Campaign for Drawing.

Teacher Liz Nicholls explained that the aim of the project is to ‘inspire’ the youngsters to paint and create.

“Drawing is for everyone, regardless of their ability and this project is a great way to celebrate the life of a significant artist,” she said.
