The Mayor’s Parade went ahead on Sunday morning (July 6) despite a heavy rainstorm, as town councillors and other mayors from the local region visited Louth for the occasion.

The Serjeant-at-Arms led the parade alongside Town Clerk Linda Blankley, followed by Mayor Councillor Andrew Leonard and Deputy Mayor Councillor Sue Locking.

Local mayors from neighbouring towns, community leaders, and civic dignitaries joined the parade, as did young members of the Scouts and Guides associations.

Following a service at St James’ Church, a coach took dignitaries to the Mayor’s restaurant at Kenwick Park Golf Club, where he provided lunch and refreshments for guests at his own expense.
