Louth woman seriously injured in West Barkwith crash
A woman from Louth was seriously injured in a crash at West Barkwith, near Wragby, last night (Monday).
Emergency services were called to the A157 around 5.15pm following a collision involving a silver Kia Picanto and a silver Audi TT travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Picanto, a 63 year-old woman from Louth, had to be cut free from her vehicle and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, suffering from very serious fractures and internal injuries.
The driver of the Audi is a 31 year-old woman from Lincoln, who received treatment for minor injuries.
The road was closed until 11pm last night.

UPDATE: Police say the woman from Louth has undergone surgery and remains in a critical condition.
