Fundraising efforts at M&Co in Louth have helped to raise £1.6 million for Cancer Research UK.
The fashion retailer, which has over 250 stores throughout the UK, has raised the money for the charoty’s groundbreaking work.
M&Co’s Louth store has contributed £4,754 towards the fundraising total.
The team at Louth raised their money through raffles, hampers, fashions shows, dress ups and providing donation stations in store for the public to donate quality items to help stock Cancer Research UK shops.
M&Co Area Mananger Helen Edwards said: “The generosity of our staff and customers is truly inspiring and they have pulled out all the stops to raise this magnificent sum.
“Everyone knows someone affected by cancer and that’s why we want to do our bit - thank you to all our customers who have supported us!”
Caroline Silke, Cancer Research UK Head of Corporate Partnerships, said: “We are extremely grateful for all the time adn effort invested by the staff and customers at M&Co in Louth.
“Everyone should be extremely proud of their achievement. All funds raised will go towards the charity’s resesarch to beat over 200 types of vancer, helping to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.”
Cancver Research UK receives no government funding for its research.
So funds raised through supporters like M&Co and their customers is crucial to the wor of doctors, nurses and scientists who work day and night to fight cancer on all fronts.
