Mablethorpe biker group searches for new blood
Mablethorpe Bikers Club's latest meeting at Linda's Pavilion on Queen's Park Boating Lake.
MABLETHORPE bikers are hoping to add new blood to their growing list of leather-clad members.
This friendly group of two-wheel enthusiasts meet every other week at Linda’s Pavilion in the town, and are the people behind the huge annual Mablethorpe Motorcycle Festival each March.
At present meetings are informal, and members meet up for a coffee and chat whilst enjoying frequent rides out around the beautiful Wolds area of Lincolnshire.
But they are hoping more local bikers will join up to boost numbers and get involved with organisation of events, rides and charity fundraisers.
In the past the group has raised money for the Ark Animal Rescue Home at Donna Nook through collections and other events.
Biker Gary Barnes explained: “Anyone, any age, will be welcome; all you need is a bike.
“So far we have about 25 members but we want to up that, we’re a friendly group and like nothing better than riding out into the country and finding somewhere for a coffee.”
The bikers meet every other Tuesday from 7pm at Linda’s Pavilion.
