Mablethorpe residents fight social care cuts
MABLETHORPE residents Wendy Hatch and Nic Miles were among 1,000 disabled people who recently lobbied their MPs at Westminster against cuts to social care funding.
The pair say cuts to the social care they receive from Linkage will ‘severely curtail their quality of life’.
MP Sir Peter Tapsell was unable to see them in person but has agreed to meet them locally.
Wendy said: “My hours with Linkage staff have been cut from 23 to seven a week and this will have a great impact on my life. I’ve lost funding which enables me to attend day services.”
Nic added: “I do not feel that eight hours a week is enough.”
