Mablethorpe Running Club members at Ferriby 10 mile race
Mablethorpe Running Club had three members taking part in the Ferriby 10 mile race organised by City of Hull AC.
This popular race saw 551 competitors complete the difficult course which mainly involved climbing for the first five miles into a very strong headwind.
The race was won for the second year in a row by Carl Ryde from Doncaster AC.
First Back for Mablethorpe was Mick Casey (vet 65) in 98th place in a time of 70 minutes and 30 seconds, which won his age group category prize.
Running well in a time of 86 minutes and 21 seconds was Sharon Margarson (vet 40), followed by Elaine Wilson (vet 40) having a good race in 94.40.
The club meets at the Athletic club on Sherwood Fields in Mablethorpe at 6.30pm every Monday and Thursday and all runners, whatever their ability and including new starters are welcome to come and run with the club members.
