Mablethorpe’s 50-strong Coastwatch crew honoured for ‘highest standards’
The Coastwatch crew in Mablethorpe receive their declared facility award at their AGM.
MABLETHORPE’s ‘eyes along the coast’ have been recognised for the highest standards of competency.
The town’s Coastwatch crew have been awarded Declared Facility Status for their success in training which the team, led by Tony Mee, have been striving towards for the past 18 months.
The award was presented to the crew at their AGM last week at the Bacchus Hotel in Sutton on Sea.
”I was always confident that my team would achieve the accolade,” Tony said.
“But at the end of the day to receive the written decision with no extra recommendations on it, was indeed a boost to the team’s morale and indeed to my training and management team all of whom have given 110 per cent effort.”
Tony thanked the local community, town and district councillors and local businesses for their support of Coastwatch.
