Last year's Thompson and Smith event

Last year's Thompson and Smith event

Put the kettle on this Friday and take part in this year’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Money raised at the coffee mornings will go to Macmillan Cancer Support to help fund the services they provide for those facing cancer and their families.

Last year, the event raised £15 million nationwide and it is hoped this year’s target will top that. And locally, here are just some of the venues hosting a coffee morning:

Thompson and Smith in Tattershall Way, Fairfield Industrial Estate, Louth, 10.30am.

At last year’s coffee morning they raised £390, so are hoping to raise even more this year!

Peter Dyer Court, Seacroft Road, Mablethorpe, 10am - with tombola and cakes.

Louth Methodist Centre, 10am to 2pm.

Boots in Mercer Row, Louth, from 10am - homemade cakes, a tombola with prizes and a book stall.

Binbrook Village Hall, 10am to 12 noon - cake
stall, book/video stall,
plant stall, card stall, tombola and raffle. Donations,
cakes and prizes welcome,
call 01472 398252 or 07792 135055.

Middle Rasen Methodist Church, 10am to 12 noon.

Market Rasen Festival Hall, Saturday September 28, 9am-2pm.

In addition to all the coffee mornings, Lindsey Rural Players will be
putting on an additional matinee performance
of their October production - Cheshire Cats - in aid
of Macmillan Cancer
Support.

The play runs from
October 10 to 12 at The Broadbent Theatre in Wickenby and the special matinee performance will be on the Saturday, October 12, at 3pm.

Tickets for this can
