Man arrested in Mablethorpe on suspicion of dangerous driving

A man from Nottinghamshire has been arrested in Mablethorpe on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop for police in Sutton on Sea.

The man was arrested just after 5pm on Sunday, June 29 near the lifeboat station on the beach in Mablethorpe after a blue Citroen Saxo failed to stop for police during a pursuit from Sutton On Sea.

PC Nigel Brailsford would like to speak to any witnesses who saw the Citroen being abandoned and anyone running from the vehicle up to the sea bank.

In particular, PC Brailsford would like to trace a witness who spoke to a traffic officer and indicated the direction the arrested man had gone.

The man has been interviewed and remains in custody as he was wanted on a recall to prison.
