A Lincolnshire man appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on August 22 after he was charged with being in possession of a knife, in a Louth street that he was legally prohibited from entering.

Lee Stephen Elwood, 27, of Carrington Drive in Hop Pole, Deeping St Nicholas, was prohibited from entering Priory Road, Louth, following a non-molestation order at Great Grimsby County Court in April this year.

However, on May 7 this year, Elwood allegedly entered Priory Road and is also separately charged with allegedly being in possession of a knife at the time.

Elwood pleaded not guilty to both charges on May 9, and elected a summary trial.

The case has now been adjourned and will continue on November 21 at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court.

Elwood was granted conditional bail until the next court hearing and he is prohibited from contacting witnesses or entering Louth, except to attend court or prearranged appointments with his solicitor.
