Man jailed for Holton Le Clay burglary

A man from Cleethorpes has been sentenced to 26 weeks in prison for a burglary in Holton Le Clay.

Daniel James Charnock (35), of Brereton Avenue, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday, May 26, after being found in the garage of a property in Carmen Crescent, Holton Le Clay.

Charnock was charged later that day and remanded in custody until he appeared before Lincoln Magistrates’ on Bank Holiday Monday.

He pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison.

DS Andy harwood, from Louth CID, said: “As part of Operation Aardwolf, we have increased patrols to tackle rural crime.

“Criminals considering coming to the county to commit burglary should think twice as it is very likely they will end the night in our custody”.
