Man smashed up former flat in Louth when he was left alone
A man, who returned to his former flat to collect some belongings, smashed up a window, mirror and chest of drawers.
Christopher John Wells, 21, of Riverhead, Louth, admitted causing more than £300 of damage at Riverhead Court on September 2 last year.
Skegness Magistrates Court heard Wells had left a flat belonging to Nottingham Community Housing Association but returned to collect some of his belongings. When left alone he caused damage.
When asked why he had done it, he swore at a representative of the housing association: “Now you know what I’m really like.”
After hearing that Wells was already on a community order imposed last October, they imposed a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered he pay compensation of £319.
