Mayor opens Louth youth project’s annual showcase

The Nichol Hill Youth Centre in Louth held their open day recently.

Mayor of Louth Jill Makinson-Sanders was the special guest at the recent Nichol Hill Youth Project open day.

The Louth youth project, in Nichol Hill, held the annual event to showcase their work throughout the year and thank their supporters.

Nichols is a drop-in for young people aged between 13 to 20, and aims to engage people with the values of the Christian Faith and anyone is welcome.

They want to stress that Nichols is not a church youth group, but simply a place where people do life together, find guidance and learn to care for each other.

Young people have free entry into the project and there’s always plenty to do, with two pool rooms, gaming, television and a chill out room.

The project is run by young people, for young people with the support of experienced adults who selflessly volunteer their time.
