NINETEEN brave year 11 students from Monks’ Dyke Tennyson College willingly gave up a weekend recently to endure life outside ‘their comfort zone’.

Lisa Adams and Andrew Whitehouse, Duke of Edinburgh Award leader for MDTC, led them through the Lincolnshire Wolds from Winceby, near Horncastle to Bag Enderby Church, near Spilsby, over 25km.

After an exhausting day, the students were grateful to stay over at Tom Thumb Holt Scout Camp at Spilsby.
