Louth Town Council will host the event at The Sessions House, Eastgate, on the morning of Thursday April 21, including refreshments.

Contact the Town Clerk on 01507 355895 to attend.

Later that day, the Mayor and Mayor’s Serjeant will be visiting nursing homes in the town to visit those who are unable to attend the event.

At 7.45pm, the town centre will join in the national beacon lighting events to mark the Queen’s milestone birthday.

The Town Council will also support the national street party events, to be held on Sunday June 12, by providing small grants to community groups who are planning to hold a celebration on that day.

The grant could be used to purchase bunting, flags, decorations or room hire - contact the Town Clerk for further details.

£200 has also been set aside to purchase and plant an oak tree in a public place in the town later in the year.
