In support of National Bike Week 2014, the Louth Neighbourhood Policing Team is holding two cycle security events.
On Saturday June 14, from 10am-1pm at Louth Police Station, there will be bike security marking and various cycle equipment available for sale.
Another event follows on Sunday June 15, from 10am-1pm at Louth Cycle Centre in Station Estate, Newbridge Hill, Louth. All bikes brought along on the day will be security marked for free and also receive a free safety check by Cycle Centre staff (excludes supply and fitting of replacement parts).
PCSO Justin Mekkaoui said: “The cycle marking and safety checks are completely free of charge. People just need to turn up with their cycles and we will UV mark them and safety check them depending which day they choose to attend.
“Owners will also be given a cycle passport to record their cycle details, and will be given relevant security and crime prevention advice and literature.”
