New library at Saltfleetby school remembers much loved former staff member
The family of Judy Belcher open the new Saltfleetby School Sunshine Library.
A MUCH-loved former staff member at Saltfleetby Primary School has been remembered through a new library at the school.
An outbuilding has been transformed into the Sunshine Library following the death of the school’s base leader, Judy Belcher, last year.
Members of the school community were so moved that they set about creating a lasting memorial, and the Friends of the School got to work.
Mrs Belcher’s family were invited to the celebrations on Friday and were invited to cut the ribbon and declare the library open for business.
Adrian Sanders, headteacher at Saltfleetby, said he felt sure the library would prove to be a valuable resource for children and would be a fitting memorial to a much loved teacher, colleague and friend.
