New York comes to Legbourne ladies

Members were glad they had braved the elements and left their warm homes to hear the speaker at the November meeting of Legbourne and Little Cawthorpe WI.

Janet West, a recently retired teacher and WI member, gave a very interesting and factual talk and slide show on her three recent visits, with pupils from King Edward VI Grammar School, to New York and Washington DC.

Janet was thanked by Tricia Atkinson.

The competition was won by Barbara Boobyer, second Pauline Wood, third Christine Adams.

Flower of the month was won by Hilary King, second Pauline Wood, third Betty Allen.

On December 4 the Christmas meal is at the Royal Oak.
