THE new Louth recycling centre on the Fairfield Industrial Estate will be officially opened on Wednesday October 31.
The household waste recycling centre and waste transfer station in Bolingbroke Road has already been open to the public for several weeks.
It replaces the old Kenwick tip on the A16, which closes on October 31.
Coun David Dickinson, Chairman of Lincolnshire County Council, will officially open the site.
Martyn Hands, Head of Waste Services at the county council, said: "Surveys have shown nine out of 10 people would recycle more if it was easy. Lincolnshire County Council listened and are thrilled to have provided facilities that make recycling easy for the people of Louth and East Lindsey.
"The new centre is set up to accept all manner of household waste and there are facilities to recycle a large range of materials from paper and cardboard to wood and electrical goods."
The centre is open from 8am until 4pm, seven days a week and longer in summer.
