NEWSFLASH: Alford couple injured in A16 crash near Spalding

TWO people from Alford were injured in a car crash on the A16 Spalding bypass at Spalding on Monday afternoon.

The collision took place around 12.30pm and involved a grey Skoda Octavia and a grey Audi A3.

The Audi driver was a 37-year-old man and his passenger was a 41-year-old woman, both from Alford, who were treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the Skoda was a 51-year-old woman and her passengers, a 17-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man, were all from Surrey. The most seriously hurt was the 17-year-old girl who was airlifted to Addenbrooks Hospital in Cambridge, where she is in a serious but stable condition with a head injury.

The other two car occupants were taken to Peterborough District Hospital with minor injuries.
