NEWSFLASH: Arson spate continues as beach huts are torched at Sandilands (video)
ARSONISTS have struck again, this time torching beach huts at Roman Bank in Sandilands.
Police and fire crews rushed to the scene shortly before midnight on Monday after the six beach huts were deliberately ignited.
Two were completely destroyed with a further four suffering roof and superficial damage.
Lincolnshire Police are appealing for any information people may have that may help them find the arsonists, a crime that can carry a life sentence in prison.
A number of huts were destroyed in the area after a spate of attacks around the same time last year.
Just last week a grade two listed building in Sutton on Sea was destroyed by arsonists before the Methodist Church also in Sutton was heavily damaged by a freak lightning strike.
Anyone who can help the police can call officers on 101, quoting incident 536 of June 18, or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
