SEVERAL locals and holidaymakers enjoying the warm weather along the Mablethorpe Coast this weekend have come into contact with the weever fish.
The local coastwatch in both Mablethorpe and Huttoft have reported sightings of the fish with a number of people being struck with a painful sting from the weever.
Mainly burying itself under the sand, the weever fish conceals itself within it’s surroundings making it hard to see.
