Nichols Youth Project has celebrated the opening of its new UV glow activities room by having a ping pong party with a difference.
All the new ping pong equipment is UV reactive for a unique experience not seen anywhere else in Louth.
The popular youth project, which is housed on the corner of Nichol Hill and Little Eastgate, has had a major makeover with the addition of a new media TV room and the UV activities area.
There is an exciting new menu of events too, which includes baking evenings and sessions on serving up mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails).
Nichols has recently taken the bold step and changed its opening times and lowered the age of young people who can access the project which is now for 11 to 20 year-olds.
The new Nichols session times are Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 4-6pm; Wednesday and Thursday, 7-9pm; and Saturdays, 12-3pm.
Nichols will also be open 12 -2pm during school holiday periods as well as putting on special events.
Everyone associated with Nichols is very grateful for all the support it has received from local businesses and tradesmen to nationally based charities and trusts.
The contributions have all played a part in helping Nichols to develop an unique place in Louth for young people.
With the launch of the ‘Be Creative’ initiative, Nichols is hoping to continue growing and help to positively influence the lives of young people in Louth in a safe and caring environment.
