‘No alcohol’ Annie of Fotherby in rude health as she reaches 103
Annie Dannatt of Fotherby House Care home celebrates her 103rd birthday.
The extra long life of a Fotherby resident has been put down to good living and absolutely no alcohol!
Annie Dannatt, of Fotherby House Care Home, turned a fabulous 103 last week surrounded by her friends, family, residents and staff.
Annie was born way back in 1909, three years before the sinking of the Titanic, and lived in South Ormsby until she turned 26.
After beginning her working life as a teaching assistant at the village school she went on to teach at Tathwell.
She married twice and has stepchildren and grandchildren who still visit her regularly.
These days she keeps her mind active with crosswords, quizzes and plenty of television, and admits to being a ‘bit of a rebel’ in her younger days!
She said she like to be remembered as a honest person and her advice to anyone is to ‘do the best you can in life’.
Annie had a fantastic birthday and her family cannot praise Fotherby House enough for the excellent care she receives.
