Noisy peacocks in Tetney could avoid eviction
The ‘noisy’ birds had led to complaints from some local residents, prompting ELDC to take action.
The Council put up an ‘eviction notice’ in the village earlier this month, which said: “A number of complaints have been made to East Lindsey District Council regarding noise from peacocks in the area of Tetney village.”

The notice asked for the owners to come forward, and continued: “If nobody claims ownership of the peacocks by 26th May 2016, the Council will attempt to have the birds removed.”
However, this week, the peacocks may have been thrown a lifeline.
A spokesman for East Lindsey District Council “Following the media coverage earlier this week, we received some helpful information that might help us identify the owner/s of the Peacocks.
“We’ll be following this up in the coming days and thereafter deciding next steps.”
