More than 100 jobs will be on offer this Friday (February 21) at a recruitment fair taking place in Mablethorpe’s Community Hall.
The event will take place between 10.30am-2.30pm and is being run by the District Council in conjunction with Job Centre Plus and is aimed at matching local jobseekers with potential employers as more than 100 jobs are showcased.
Some of the area’s biggest employers will be in attendance making it an attractive proposition for job seekers ahead of the 2014 tourism season. As well as full and part time, permanent and temporary job opportunities, there will be recruitment and training advice, as well as information on apprenticeship and volunteering opportunities.
The Council’s portfolio holder for economic development, Coun Craig Leyland, said: “This recruitment fair will provide an ideal opportunity for local employers to showcase their job opportunities and for local people to see what is on offer.
“In a District such as East Lindsey, seasonal employment makes up a large proportion of the work force, so winter months can be particularly difficult for many people.
“We would therefore urge all jobseekers to attend the recruitment fair to see what is on offer right on their doorstep. As many local employers gear up for the 2014 season there will be opportunities to suit everyone from part to full time and both seasonal and permanent vacancies.”
At the Mablethorpe event there will be more than 100 jobs on offer from employers including Haven, Lindum Construction, Park Resorts, East Lindsey District Council and the Dunes Complex.
June Howard, of Job Centre Plus, added: “This event is an ideal opportunity for employers to advertise vacancies and talk directly to jobseekers about their company and the positions available.
“In addition, they give jobseekers the opportunity to find out about employment in the area, take along CVs and promote themselves.
“There is also training and volunteering opportunities as well as help and advice on all aspects of job-hunting. Each year there are new organisations attending the events which keeps them fresh and ensures there is something for everyone.”
