A FUNDRAISING night held in Sutton on Sea on Saturday has raised £1,265 for the Emma Jayne Foundation.

Ruth and Tony Knowles, whose daughter Emma Jayne died of a brain tumour, work tirelessly to raise money for their foundation which purchases equipment for the neurosurgical unit at Hull Royal Infirmary.

Among the entertainment was live music enjoyed by a full house at the Sutton on Sea Social Club and the money raised will go towards a £10,000 tissue embedding centre.

This year’s annual Emma Jayne Bikeathon is on Sunday, July 22 from the Splash in Little Cawthorpe which incorporates both cycling and walking routes.

Details can be found by visiting www.emma-jaynememorialfund.co.uk or by calling Ruth on 01507 441347.
