Paddling pools in Mablethorpe and Sutton reopen for another summer
PADDLING pools in Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea will be reopened in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.
The paddling pool in Mablethorpe has been given a major overhaul including full resurfacing, and the facility in Sutton on Sea has been repaired to restore it to its former glory.
An East Lindsey District Council spokesman has confirmed the refilling of pools is not affected by the current hosepipe ban, as the pools are filled using boreholes.
The popular free attractions remain as popular as ever amongst youngsters in the towns.
Portfolio Holder for Leisure at East Lindsey District Council, Coun Adam Grist: said: “Tourism is so vitally important to East Lindsey and in the past few weeks we’ve worked hard, carrying out a programme of maintenance at all three pools, to ensure they are ready in time for what we hope is a very busy weekend throughout the district.”
