Louth enjoyed another successful Vintage Day on Sunday June 19, as the popular Zero Degrees Festival got off to a flying start.

Hundreds turned out for the fun-filled family day in the Cornmarket, with many visitors donning vintage costumes to soak up the pop-up pavement café culture.

Music kicked off with Louth New Orleans Jazz Band, followed by Phil Haley and his Comments and Lindy Hop dancing with 52nd Street Jump.

There were plenty of vintage market stalls, and an authentic pavement café experience was created by local pubs and cafés.

Visitor Lynn Cannon said: “Absolutely fab – well done everyone.” Jo Parkinson added: “Brilliant 
afternoon. Thank you to all who organised it.” Sarah Bennett said it was the best Vintage Day ever, and added: “Great atmosphere, cafés with tables outside and dancing in the street. What more can one ask for?”

Zero Degrees Festival chair Nicki Jarvis said she was blown away by the fantastic reception, and thanked “brilliant local businesses” for their efforts.
