Police investigate mystery blaze at commercial buildings in Tetney

Fire crews and police are investigating the cause of a blaze which tore through an auction house in Tetney in the early hours of Friday.

Crews from Louth and North Somercotes as well as three crews from the Humberside area were called to the fire in Humberston Road at around 1am.

The site is believed to be an auction house on the Beam Station Business Park on the B1031 road.

Crews spent much of the morning damping down the site with a crew from Binbrook also being called.

Severe damage was caused to one burger van, two commercial buildings and their contents, and the fire was put out using three main jets and two hose reels.

The cause of the blaze is still being investigated and Humberside Police are in attendance.

On Thursday night at around 7pm a crew from Binbrook attended a chimney fire in Lincoln Road, Brookenby.

The fire damaged a quantity of soot and was extinguished using chimney gear and one hose reel.
