Poppy appeal raises £22,000
THE FINAL total is in for the 2011 Poppy appeal, made up of donations from locals all over the coast, the final amount raised is £22,060.60.
This is the first time the local appeal has gone over the £20,000 mark and chairman of the Poppy Appeal for Mablethorpe, Mark Reddin is delighted.
He said: “This is such a fantastic achievement and it is the first time we have ever raised funds over £20,000.
“I just want to thank everyone who supported the appeal in Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea, Trusthorpe and Theddlethorpe.”
