A charity fun day event this weekend, which included a five-a-side football tournament, has had to be cancelled due to the recent bad weather. It is now hoped that the tournament will be held towards the end of June (exact date TBC).
Further details about the event can be found below - and it’s still not too late to sign up and enter a team for the tournament!
Lincolnshire Co-operative will be holding a five-a-side football tournament with teams from across the county taking part later this month, with lots of other fun events taking place on the day too.
Teams from Lincolnshire Co-op and local companies will be taking part to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society, which is Lincolnshire Co-op’s chosen ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2014.
The event takes place at Cordeaux Academy.
On the day there will also be games, face painting, a 50ft inflatable assault course, local stands, BBQs, hot and cold food and drink with ‘My Fathers Moustache’, and a raffle.
Lincolnshire Co-op have already raised £32,666 for Alzheimer’s Society so far this year.
James Crute, community liaison representative from Lincolnshire Co-op in Newbridge Hill, Louth, said: “We’re really excited about the event and we’re hoping people will get behind it and help us raise lots of money for our Charity of the Year, Alzheimer’s Society.
“We’ve got loads going on from face painting to an inflatable assault course as well as the football tournament, so it’s set to be a great day!”
Companies that are helping out at the event include RH Displays, Louth Old Boys, Pocklingtons Bakery, Fun Bounce Lincs, Louth Trophy Centre, Blue Apple Signs, and Cordeaux Academy.
There is still plenty of time for teams to take part, and if local companies are able to help with a team or donation for our raffle on the day then please contact James Crute on 01507 603442, or email email@example.com
