Prussian Queen pub marks Royal baby birth by marking village beacon

The Prussian Queen pub in Saltfleetby has marked the birth of the Royal baby, by lighting a beacon in its car park.

At promptly 9pm on Monday night the village beacon was lit to celebrate the birth of the new baby which was born to Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge, at 4.22pm.

The baby was delivered at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, west London, weighing 8lb 6oz.

A press release from Kensington Palace said the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, was present for the birth.

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news,” it said.
