Rod takes on the reins as Louth Mayor’s Serjeant
ROD Barham has offically been passed the reins and ceremonial mace to begin his role of Louth’s new Mayor’s Serjeant.
He was officiated into his new title at last week’s Louth Town Council meeting.
Rod, of Burgh le Marsh, takes over the title from Sandra Dykes who has served alongside the town’s Mayors for the last three years.
Rod is delighted to have been selected to carry on the tradition. He said: “It’s great news to have been selected for the job role and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into some voluntary work.”
