Rotary American scholarships
Rotary scholarships
THE Rotary Club of Louth has awarded Louth students scholarships to study for one year in America under a scheme run by the Rotary clubs in the state of Georgia.
This year’s successful students are all from King Edward VI Grammar School.
They are Anna Jones who is going to Young Harris College, Richard Morris who is going to West Georgia College and Sarah Bath who is going to Dalton State College.
The Rotary Club has been running the scheme for over 25 years. The club’s John Barker said: “It is an opportunity to widen the scholar’s experience in a gap year, before they return home to take up a main university course. It has changed the lives of those who have gone to America.”
