The Riverside Playgroup in North Holme Road, Louth, welcomed some peculiar guests on Monday morning (June 16) when a variety of reptiles and other creatures visited the class.
The youngsters enjoyed being introduced to a bearded dragon, a snake and a tarantula, in addition to less scaly creatures such as a hedgehog, a skunk and a baby fox. They were accompanied by Susan Louth, of ‘Reptile Life’ in Sleaford.
“Our theme for the week is reptiles,” explained Playgroup Manager Rita Blyth. “We have different themes to widen experiences for the children. It saves going on as many trips, by bringing outside experiences into the playgroup.”
Rita added: “Riverside Playgroup has been established for more than 30 years, and we moved from Thames Street three years ago to our new site here at Cordeaux Academy. We still have a few spaces available for September this year.”
