A small independently run business in Mablethorpe has come out in the top three of a national media competition out of over 100 entries.
Made 2 Measure Mirrors is the trading name of Concorde Glass which is based in Waterloo Road in Mablethorpe.
This small business took out over 100 entries to place into the top three in The Guardian newspapers Small Business Showcase competition.
All the businesses had to do was submit a short piece on how their have managed cashflow to help survive through today’s tough economic times.
Marketing manager for Made 2 Measure Mirrors, Ali Jenkins said: “We are absolutely delighted to have made it into the top three business finalists.
“We were very surprised to have been shortlisted as we didn’t expect it at all.
“We are now very excited to see what the future brings for the business.”
Made 2 Measure Mirrors aim to offer their customers products that are great value for money which includes mirrors, splashback panes and even wall art.
One of the businesses most significant issues within the running of the company was the bad and late paying commercial debtors and the repercussions this had on cashflow.
In response to this issue, the company dramatically improved its cashflow position via three commercial decisions: one procedural, one philosophical and one strategic, the company is now going from strength to strength.
Made 2 Measure Mirrors will now have to wait until May to find out if they are all the overall winners at a special awards dinner.
