Snowdrops raised £1,200 at Gayton le Wold
ST PETER’S Church, Gayton le Wold, is part of the Parish Of the Asterby Group and in recent years the village Church Committee has arranged a Snowdrop Festival Weekend to raise funds for maintenance.
It has always been very successful drawing crowds of visitors from a wide area and this year was no exception.
There was a raffle with the main prize won by Sue Olivant of Benniworth and a flower anagram competition which was won by Lesley Jones of North Thoresby. The Gayton le Wold Village Church Committee extends its thanks far and wide to everyone who gave their support and contributed in any way to what was a very happy and successful weekend for the small community, raising over £1,200 for the Parish Church of St Peter.
