Contrary to police reports last week, the 28-year-old Hogsthorpe man injured in a car crash in South Cockerington last week suffered a broken back, and did not suffer a broken pelvis or broken leg as originally reported.
He was injured when his Ford Ka left the road in Marsh Lane, South Cockerington, shortly after 7.30am on Friday November 29.
The man is currently recovering at Hull Royal Infirmary. He is due to be transferred to a special unit in Sheffield in the coming days, which specialises in back injuries.
