A ‘speed dating’ walk is taking place in Swaby, west of Alford, on Friday May 30 as part of this year’s Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival - and the organisers are looking for more men to sign up.
The gentle four mile walk begins at 6pm, and booking is essential. The start location will be given at time of booking, and there will be cakes and hot drinks at Tracey’s Little Cupcake Tearoom in Swaby afterwards.
Organiser Nicki Jarvis is looking for more single people to join in. She said: “The walk will be like a pub quiz on legs, as participants will get to chat with each other while trying to complete their question sheet.
“There will be prizes for the winners of course, but we hope that some firm friendships might also be made along the way.”
Nicki adds: “Almost all of the 15 places for women have been snapped up, but we still need some more gentlemen to take part. Come on you blokes!”
