Spirit of the Marsh poetry competition

THE Spirit of the Marsh poetry competition is open for entries.

The event celebrating the talents, knowledge and energies of the region will be held over the weekend of July 20-22 at Arklow House Farm, Theddlethorpe.

As part of the build up an adults and children poetry competition is being held.

The closing date is midnight on Saturday July 7.

Entries can be emailed to spiritofthemarsh@hotmail.co.uk with the heading Spirit of the Marsh Poetry Competition and also your name, address and telephone number.

Or they can be posted to: Spirit of the Marsh Poetry Competition, Wyndyways, Mill Road, Theddlethorpe, East Lindsey, LN12 1PB – again, with your name, address, telephone number attached to your entry on a separate piece of paper.

Prizes for the adult winner are two VIP weekend passes for the festival and a free holistic treatment for two, while the child winner gets two adult weekend passes and one child weekend pass.

The winner will be invited to read their poem or have it read out loud at the Spirit of the Marsh Festival on Sunday, July 22.
