Strubby Community Group Lunch Club recently enjoyed a meal at The King’s Head in Legbourne at their latest luncheon event which was enjoyed thoroughly by all.

The club was started in order to address the needs of people aging in the local community feeling valued, wanting to experience new opportunities and have a reason to get out of the front door.

The group meet monthly and enjoy the opportunity to meet, talk and enjoy community life in Strubby and the surrounding district.

The lunch club wish to thank Michael Bullamore and his team for inviting them to The King’s Head to share the results of his very special ‘Chef’ skills. The event was part funded by the lunch club members and subsidised by Michael Bullamore himself.

The group were delighted with the courses, each presented with an explanation of contents which included homemade bread, fish cake, a lamb course and then a very special finale pudding.

Then the group had their usual short quiz, this time on food and they all agreed that it was a really special event.
