THE Louth and District Fuchsia Society 26th Annual Show was held at the Royal British Legion Hall in Northgate.
Well over 100 people braved the thunderstorms to visit the show, where they were able to enjoy fuchsias in all shapes, colours and sizes, arranged on the benches by the society’s members.
They could try their luck at the tombola and the raffle, followed by a cup of tea and a slice of home made cake, and experts were on hand to answer any questions.
There were 110 exhibits entered in the show’s 40 classes. This year has not been the best for growing fuchsias due to the changeable weather, but members persevered and, as usual, put on a good show.
The best exhibit in show award went to Mr and Mrs Wilkinson.
Mr R Coupland got the best exhibit by a beginner award, the best exhibit by a novice and the BFS special award.
