Sunflowers for WI Calendar Girls at Legbourne

PRESIDENT Edith Jones presented Christine Vickers and Janet West with a sunflower at the meeting of Legbourne and Little Cawthorpe WI to mark their outstanding performances in the recent Louth Playgoers production of Calendar Girls.

Speaker Sandra Bell.gave a brief history of beadwork. Members were then invited to make a memory wire bracelet.

The competition was won by Cecily Davy, second Janet West, third Barbara Boobyer.

Flower of the month was won by Edith Jones, second Jean Pridgeon and third Hillary King.

Refreshments were served by Christine Vickers and Janet West.

The next meeting is on November 6 when the speaker will be Janet West, a WI member.
