Sutton on Sea Lifesavers get a hand from Thursday Club
Members of the Trusthorpe Thursday Club with Sutton on Sea LIVES co-ordinator Keith Auvache.
OVER £300 has been raised for Sutton on Sea LIVES First Responders thanks to a benevolent group in Trusthorpe.
The Thursday Club, a group of friends who meet weekly on that very day, held a bring and buy sale with events held through the afternoon of last Thursday.
Despite the bad weather the event was very well attended with people also taking part in a tombola, raffle and enjoying teas and cakes.
The Thursday Club choose a charity to support each year and for 2012 the local LIVES team are feeling the benefit of such fundraisers.
Thursday Club social secretary Olga Lancaster and president Eve Green thanked all those who attended on the day.
Sutton on Sea LIVES co-ordinator Keith Auvache said: “This is an absolutely fantastic donation for us, we’re there to help local people like these.
“Without the kind generosity of such people we simply wouldn’t be able to survive.”
