Sutton on Sea Residents Association enjoy day trip out
THE Sutton on Sea first Residents Association went to National Trust Gunby Hall recently to enjoy a social outing.
The trip included an exclusive guided tour of the house and of the gardens, followed by a cream tea.
The chairman, Steve Palmer chose Gunby Hall because of its closeness to Sutton on Sea and its beautiful gardens.
Steve said: “Gunby Hall was first build in 1700 and is a gem. The history of the family who owned it for hundreds of years is fascinating.
“The staff were very welcoming and informative and we found out most of them are volunteers.”
The management group of the Association are planning more social activities for members in the coming months including dinners and theatre trips.
The association meet every second Wednesday at the Bacchus Hotel in Sutton on Sea.
