A woman from Sutton on Sea is helping to boost her confidence by publishing her first eBook and is raising funds for Cancer Research.
Having spent a lot of her life suffering from anxiety issues and low confidence, 28-year-old Heather Williams has written her first book ‘The Life of Helen Riley’ which has helped to curb her anxiety and boost her confidence.
Heather explained: “I first began writing this book in 2008 and I was very on and off with my writing.
“It wasn’t until 2013 that I decided to really push on with the book and get it finished and a goal of mine I really wanted to achieve.
“Writing the book has really helped to boost my confidence alongside being a community radio presenter in Ingoldmells and I am now also volunteering with Coastal FM in Mablethorpe.
“Plus at the same time I wanted my first book to be used to help a good cause, so any money that is mad from my book, I will donating to Cancer Research UK.”
The book is set in the year of 1998 with three friends heading over to Glastonbury. With one friend suffering from Cancer, it’s up to the others to help fulfil her final wish.
Not only that, but the main character Helen has just come out of a three-year relationship and it seems that true love could be just around the corner with a young gentleman she is reunited with from her past.
Heather adds: “This book really is a chick-flick type read for those in their 20s right up middle age. It’s all about life experiences, living through your 20s which I am sure a lot of ladies out there can relate to.
“With my anxiety now, I have my good days and bad days, but now it seems that I have more good days then bad.
“Following on from this book, I am hoping to add further instalments of ‘The Life of Helen Riley’ in the future.”
Heather’s eBook is now available for purchase via Amazon.
